The new Warheads Sour Soda faces an oversaturated market, making it challenging to score space on grocery shelves. While in collaboration with Jesus Balaguer, we confronted the problem to make the Warheads Sour Soda stand out in a sea of already well-established brands.
The Idea
Design a strong brand identity for the soda that represents its sour flavor - targeting the niche untapped market of sour beverage products.
The Solution
We designed the branding and packaging of the Warheads Sour Soda in a way that mimics its mouth-puckering flavor while also playing on the nostalgia of the 90's candy brand. The bold dark stroke along the text and fruits matched with the vivid colors allows the cans to stand out amongst competitors. Moreover, the use of the splatter and the illustrative graffiti-style elements encourages a "modern 90's" feeling.
